About Madison

Madison Gu is a New York–based fashion stylist, originally from Shanghai, China. After working as a show director for Shanghai Fashion Week, she relocated to New York to deepen her creative practice through the Fashion Studies program at Parsons School of Design. Grounded in a strong foundation of fashion history and theory, Madison brings a refined, research-driven perspective to her styling—navigating concepts and aesthetics with both clarity and intent.

Her work is rooted in the belief that beauty emerges from openness, empathy, and diversity. Known for her bold use of color, sculptural silhouettes, and layered textures, Madison’s styling is both visually striking and emotionally resonant. Her work has been featured in leading publications such as Paper Magazine, T Magazine, InStyle, L’Officiel, ELLE, Harper's BAZAAR, TMRW Mag, Schön! Mag, The Wow Mag, and Galore Mag. She has styled an array of talent, including Olympic champion Eileen Gu, Emmy-nominated actress Zazie Beetz, Golden Melody Award-winning singer Crowd Lu, indie rock band The Black Skirts, and GRAMMY Global Spin-featured, Altın Kelebek award-winning Turkish singer Melike Şahin.

Beyond editorial work, Madison leads wardrobe styling and costume design for both fashion labels and commercial clients. From campaigns and lookbooks to films, she works closely with each brand to craft a cohesive visual identity—elevating narratives through style. Her clients include Satine Organic Milk, (one of China’s leading dairy brands under Yili Group)Match.com, CarGurus, and others.
